Tonight's Musicalis...

A new long-form improvised musical troupe. One audience suggestion becomes a full-length original musical, with songs, characters, and a story that has never existed before and will never happen again.

The Show

A brand-new musical, written in real time.

Every performance starts with a title from the audience. From there, the cast builds an entire musical on the spot: an opening number, a hero with something to want, a villain, a love song, a showstopper, and a finale that ties it all together.

It's in the tradition of long-form musical troupes like Baby Wants Candy, built on strong scene work, real stakes, and songs that actually move the story forward. Backed by live music, performed by an ensemble that trusts each other completely.

"Ladies and gentlemen... Tonight's Musical is..."Every show. A different answer.

Who We're Looking For

Performers who can sing, play, and listen.

We're building a founding ensemble. You don't need to be an expert at everything, but you need to be excited to live in the space where improv and musical theatre meet.

i.

Singers who aren't afraid to fail

A confident voice and the willingness to make up a melody and commit to it in front of an audience. Musical theatre background is a big plus.

ii.

Improvisers with real scene skills

You build characters, make strong choices, and support your scene partners. Long-form experience is valued; so is a strong instinct for story.

iii.

Generous ensemble players

The best musical improv looks effortless because the cast is listening to each other. We want people who make everyone around them look good.

iv.

People ready to commit

This is a troupe, not a one-off gig. We're looking for performers who want to rehearse, grow together, and help build something from the ground up.

Musicians welcome, too. If you're a pianist or instrumentalist who can follow and accompany improvised songs, we'd love to hear from you.
